Fitness Challenge Spring 2009
What is the Fitness Challenge?
The purpose of the challenge is to encourage, promote and foster exercise and healthy eating habits. It also provides an opportunity to enhance your fitness/wellness level in a team environment. Working in a team environment will provide encouragement and accountability along the way. The ultimate goal of the challenge is to instill health and fitness habits for a lifetime.
Teams earn points for participating in cardiovascular, muscle strength/endurance and flexibility exercise as well as other activities such as fitness assessments, fitness seminars, CNU events and more. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
Who can enter?
Any current CNU student, faculty, staff or member of The Freeman Center member may register and participate in the Fitness Challenge.
How do I join a team?
You may sign up with a friend, or you may request The Freeman Center to assign you to a team. Indicate which option you want on the registration form. A team is comprised of two people.
What do I have to do during the Challenge?
Participate in various exercise activities, such as cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, flexibility training and other activities. The program is designed to touch on the various aspects of wellness – physical, social, emotional and intellectual.
