The Freeman Center does not offer memberships to the following:
- General Community

The Freeman Center does not offer guest passes to the following:

- Individuals without a Freeman Center Member as their sponsor
Current Student, Faculty and Staff
Students
Any current CNU student, regardless of the amount of credits that are being taken, is eligible to use the Freeman Center with regular privileges at no additional cost during normal operating hours. Current students also have the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. Costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.) are not included. All currently enrolled students are required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to the Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please come by the front desk to request access.
Faculty and Staff
Any current CNU Faculty or Staff member, regardless of Full/Part-Time status, and currently contracted employee (AP-14) is eligible to use the Freeman Center with regular privileges at no additional cost during normal operating hours. Current Faculty and Staff also have the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. Costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.) are not included. All current Faculty and Staff are required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to the Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please come by the front desk to request access.

Any current CNU volunteer is invited to use the Freeman Center at no cost during normal operating hours. However, proof of the individual's capacity at the University must be verified with a letter from the Head of the Department in which the volunteer is working. This also includes instructors in the Military Science Department who are members of the William & Mary College Faculty, but teach Military Science at CNU . This letter must be on department letterhead, must state the position/purpose of the volunteer, and state the expiration date of the volunteer period. Current CNU volunteers also have the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. Costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.) are not included. Any former CNU Faculty member with Professor Emeritus status is eligible to use the Freeman Center with regular privileges at no cost during normal operating hours. Costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.) are not included. A spouse of Professor Emeritus may purchase a membership to the Freeman Center at the normal Spouse rate. All Professor Emeritus is required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to the Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS! Alumni have the ability to purchase a membership to The Freeman Center during normal operating hours. Alumni may purchase a membership for $250.00 for one year. Alumni Society members who are not Alumni of CNU may only purchase memberships if they have a spouse who is an Alumni of CNU, and has purchased a membership to The Freeman Center. In this case, this individual can join at the normal Spouse rate. The spouse of a CNU alumnus may purchase a membership as long as the alumnus has also purchased a membership. The spouse would pay the spouse rate (refer to "Spouses of Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni").
Individuals who purchase a membership in a capacity listed above also has the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. A Freeman Center Member parking pass is also included in the purchase price of the membership and permits the individual to park in one of the designated parking spots on the side of The Freeman Center. Purchase of a Freeman Center membership does not include any costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.). Individuals who purchase an Alumni membership are required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to The Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Any retired CNU Faculty member is eligible to purchase a membership to The Freeman Center with regular privileges during normal operating hours. Retired Professors also have the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. Costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.) are not included. A spouse of a retired Professor may purchase a membership to The Freeman Center at the normal spouse rate. All Retired Professors are required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to The Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS! Guest Pass
Current members of the Freeman Center may purchase a guest pass for a non-member at a cost of $10.00 per day. The following regulations apply:
- The guest be at least 18 years of age and supply a drivers license to show age
- The guest must sign a waiver form upon entrance to the Freeman Center
- The member must be with the guest at all times in any part of the building
- If the member leaves the building, the guest must leave as well
- The guest must abide by all Freeman Center policies. If a guest violates any Freeman Center policy, the guest and member may be asked to leave the facility
- The member who sponsors the guest is responsible for their actions
- Members may only have one guest per visit
- Guests are not permitted to check out any equipment. This must be done by the sponsoring member
- The Freeman Center reserves the right to refuse to admit a guest
Guest passes may be purchased at the front desk.

Anyone who joins the Captain's Crew at the $1,300.00 level or above is eligible for a Freeman Center membership at no additional cost during normal operating hours. Captain's Crew members also have the ability to purchase one guest pass per day for a non-member. Please see guest pass policies for more information. A Freeman Center Member parking pass is also included with this membership and permits the individual to park in one of the designated parking spots on the side of the Freeman Center. A Freeman Center membership does not include any costs for extra services (i.e. personal training, aerobics classes, etc.). Spouses of Captains Crew donors are not eligible for membership to The Freeman Center. All Captain's Crew Members are required to have their hand scanned and must use the hand scanner access control system to gain access to The Freeman Center. NO EXCEPTIONS!
